Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE)

Our Joint Penn-CHOP Center for Digestive, Liver and Pancreatic Medicine is the only one in the country with a specific focus on transitioning children with eosinophilic esophagitis to adult gastroenterology care. Our goal is to provide inter-disciplinary care (gastroenterologists, allergists, nutritionists and others) together to deliver state of the art care and access to clinical trials to all patients with eosinophilic esophagitis in the Delaware Valley and nationally as they make the transition from adolescence to young adulthood (age 18). This unique program offers our patients a unified approach from both pediatric and adult practitioners. Equally important goals include understanding the biology of EoE and genetics through basic, translational and clinical research. We also train the next generation of leaders in the field through the education of students, residents, fellows and physician extenders.
